Miguel Angel Gutierrez
Luthier · Classical guitar
My name is Miguel Angel Gutiérrez Garcia Calvo, born in Toledo ,Spain, and living in Genoa, Italy. I currently make sitka soundboard guitars, with Indian rosewood back and sides, cedrella neck, and ebony fingerboard. My instruments are characterized by a great balance throughout the fretboard and the different strings, a lot of attack, which helps to keep the notes clear in the faster phrases the legato and in polyphony and a good sustain to lengthen the notes and give time to make a vibrato or increase the expressiveness in singing.
