Lucio Antonio Carbone
Luthier · Classical guitar
I am a luthier based in Milan since 1983. I build guitars in traditional way, in terms of sound and construction methods. My work is inspired by great masters of the past such as Antonio de Torres, Santos Hernandez, Enrique Garcia and Hermann Hauser, in particular by the latter's instruments, of which I appreciate the tonal elegance and the dynamic and tone balance. It is a production made of unique pieces. I use woods aged up to twenty years: alpine spruce, cypress, Indian rosewood, maple. In the last few years I have also used essences chosen with sustainability criteria.
